The Wedding Insurance Group is a family-run specialist insurance broker for the wedding industry. The brokerage was created to fill the gap that many wedding and event professionals faced when searching for a bespoke insurance package.
The challenge
Our primary goal was to increase the amount of traffic from organic search and double the amount of quote form completions which delivers leads to the broking team. The site’s visibility was strong with their primary insurance product, but very weak on all other products. The amount of traffic and leads dropped off considerably during off-peak months (October to March).
At the time of our appointment, the site was being migrated across to a new and bespoke content management system. We were tasked with assisting the migration and liaising with the development team to update the architecture of the overall site and product pages.
The solution
The structural changes deployed under our direction paved the way for a new content strategy that included several new insurance product pages and the acquisition of multiple backlinks from several high-authority industry sites. We also conducted a thorough technical SEO audit, which mitigated errors and warnings thus improving search engine crawling and indexing.
The results
Traffic from organic search increased by 40.31% when comparing 2018 with the previous year. This plugged the gap during off-peak months.
Quote requests from organic search increased by 382.83%.
